Bottle Feeding Guide: Choosing and Using Bottles

Every baby has bottle preferences. Here's how to find what works.

Popular Bottle Types

• Dr. Brown's: Anti-colic, lots of parts to clean.
• Philips Avent: Easy to clean, widely available.
• Comotomo: Soft, breast-like, pricier.
• MAM: Self-sterilizing, anti-colic.

Nipple Flow

Start with slow flow (0-3 months), move up as baby gets frustrated with flow speed.

How Many to Buy

Start with a variety pack of 2-3 brands. Once baby picks a favorite, buy 6-8 of that type.

Cleaning

Dishwasher top rack or hand wash with bottle brush. Sterilizing after first use is enough.
