Baby Showers for Military Families
Planning celebrations when service members may be deployed.
In9Months Team
Military life adds challenges. Here's how to celebrate despite them.
Timing Challenges
Deployments, PCS moves, and uncertain schedules make planning hard. Have backup dates or be flexible.
Virtual Options
If partner is deployed, include them via video. Virtual showers work well for families spread across bases.
Practical Gifts
- Gift cards (helpful during PCS moves)
- Lightweight, portable gear
- Care packages for deployed parent
- Contributions to baby fund (cash is king with moving)
Community Support
Military family support groups often organize showers for pregnant spouses. Take advantage of your FRG or spouse club.
